Please read the below terms and Conditions before using our services.
By using our services, you agree to the terms and conditions and our privacy policy.


1. Parties, Definitions and Interpretation


1.1 For these terms & conditions, the following words have the following meanings:
“Us/We/Our/Victrade” refers to Victrade Limited.
“You, Customer, Client" refers to (the person or organisation for whom we agree to carry out work and/or supply materials).
“Tradesperson/tradespeople” refers to the representative(s) appointed by Victrade to carry out Work.
“Services/Work/Works" refers to any works offered by Victrade, across all the trades that we cover
(Handyperson, Plumbing, Heating, Drains, Bathrooms, Electrics, Carpentry, Appliances, Roofing, Building, Emergencies and Commercial), which are described in our Emails, Enquiries, Estimates, Project Work, Installations, Repairs, Emergency Call Outs, Servicing, and Guarantees.


2. Hourly Rate Work


2.1 A minimum charge of one hour applies and is charged at increments of half hours thereafter.

2.2 The total charge to you will consist of the cost(s) of:
Labour (the amount of time spent by the tradesperson carrying out work) including all reasonable time spent in obtaining non-stocked materials, charged by our current hourly rates.
Materials supplied by us, not exceeding the purchase price of materials +25%.

2.3 The first hour should be paid online when a booking is made on our website and the remaining time is payable in half-hour increments after the completion of work.

2.4 We reserve the right to refuse or decline to undertake any work. We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to choose and designate the tradesperson/tradespeople who will represent us.


3. Fixed Price Work


3.1 The total charge to you will be given as a firm cost(manifest errors exempted), inclusive of labour & materials unless otherwise stated in the estimate.

3.2 Where a written estimate has been supplied to you, the total charge outlined in the estimate may be revised in the following circumstances:
If you instruct us inwriting or verbally to carry out any additional work.
If there is an increase in the price of materials.
If, after submission of the estimate, it is discovered that further work needs to be carried out which was not anticipated when the estimate was prepared.
If, after submission of the estimate, it is discovered that there was a manifest error when the estimate was prepared.
Requirement of a detailed Insurance Report (in addition to the estimate and invoice) will incur a nominal charge of £25.00

3.3 We reserve the right to refuse to provide an estimate to you and will only bedbound by estimates given to you in writing. We will not be bound by any estimates given either orally or in which manifest errors occur.


4. Permits, Licences, Consents and Access


4.1 It is the responsibility of the Customer to obtain all permits, licences and other consents in connection with the Works unless Victradeagrees otherwise in writing. The Customer shall provide clear access to enable Victrade undertake the Works and will make all necessary arrangements with the proper persons or authorities for any traffic controls and signals required in connection with the carrying out of the Works.

4.2 The Customer will at all times provide a safe working environment for Victrade and its employees, agents and/or sub-contractors to carry out the Works. Victrade requires the presence of an occupant above the age of 18 to allow access before the commencement of any works.

4.3 The Customer will provide all necessary electrical power and clean water supply for Victrade’s use during and throughout the execution of the Works.

4.4 Where applicable to drainage works, the Customer will provide, if possible, a plan showing the layout of the drains. If this is not available, Victrade reserves the right to render additional charges at there levant applicable rate if it is necessary to trace unidentified drains to complete the Works.

4.5 The Customer must obtain any permission for Victrade to proceed over property belonging to third parties if this is necessary for the proper execution of the Works and shall obtain any permission necessary to carry out work on property belonging to third parties. The Customer shall indemnify Victrade against all and any claims of any nature made by such third parties arising out of the presence of Victrade its employees, agents or sub-contractors on the Customer’s or such third parties’ property save where such claim results directly from negligence on Victrade’s part. The Customer shall be liable for any loss or damage whether direct, indirect or consequential which is a result of failure or delay by the Customer in performing the obligations referred to in this paragraph.

4.6 All fixtures and fittings in the working areas shall be removed by the Customer before the commencement of the Works at the Customer’s expense.  Victrade may remove at the Customer’s expense any fixtures and fittings not so removed but it will not be responsible for any damage to any fixture or fitting so removed other than damage proved to be caused by Victrade negligence.


5. Offers & Incentives


5.1 On an ongoing basis, at our discretion, we promote a selection of offers and incentives, these will be clearly defined including any specific terms & conditions. Offers and incentives may only be used in conjunction with each other at our discretion.


6. Material Collection


6.1 The collection of non-stock items is chargeable at the hourly rate. Time taken to collect such materials will be kept to a minimum and should not exceed 60 minutes.

6.2 In the circumstances for which the collection time is likely to exceed 60 minutes you will receive prior notification of the reason.

6.3 In the case that the material’s quantity, size, or weight requires more than one person to handle it, the Customer will be informed and the hourly charge will apply for each person needed.


7. Removal of Waste Materials


7.1 Unless agreed in writing, the Customer is responsible for the removal and/or recycling of any packaging or waste materials left over after the completion of the Works.


8. Invoices & Payment


8.1 Upon your agreement for us to carry out estimated fixed price work, a deposit payment of 50% of the total is payable immediately. Were serve the right to request full payment in advance at our discretion.

8.2 Upon completion of work, you will be invoiced, for which payment is due on receipt. Victrade reserves the right to apply, accrue daily and charge interest at a rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate on any part of an invoice which remains unpaid, plus £20.00 administration fee, until the payment is received by us in full.

8.3 Where the Customer is represented by a third party (such as a managing agent, tenant or another occupier, contractor or other representatives), in the event of non-payment by the Customer, the third party will be responsible and liable for payment unless Victrade has agreed otherwise in writing.

8.4 All payments are currently not subject to VAT as Victrade is not currently required to register for VAT.


9. Commencement and Completion Dates and Time


9.1 The dates and/or time for the commencement and/or completion of the Works are estimates only, we will use reasonable endeavour to ensure that the tradesperson attends accordingly. However, we accept no liability in respect of the non-attendance or late-attendance of the tradesperson, or for the late or non-delivery of materials.

9.2 We will not be liable for any delay, or the consequences of any delay, in performing any of our obligations, and we will be entitled to a reasonable extension of the time for performing such obligations.


10. Customer Cancellation or Rearrangement


10.1 If you need to cancel or rearrange your booking for Hourly Rate Work detailed in section 2 above, you must notify us in advance(preferably by telephone) 2 working days or earlier before the scheduled commencement date, cancellations made after that will incur a cancellation fee equal to the rate of one hour.

10.2 In addition to clause 10.1 above, if you cancel your booking after work-related materials have been purchased or supplied, you will be liable for the cost of the materials and any time incurred to purchase, collect and/or supply such materials.

10.3 If you need to cancel a Fixed Price Work detailed in section 3 above for which you have accepted an estimate, the following charges apply:
When cancellation is submitted to Victrade inwriting before 14 days from the commencement date or earlier, a minimum charge of £50 or 10% of the total estimate price is applicable, whichever is greater.
When cancellation is submitted to Victrade inwriting 13 days or less before the commencement date, a minimum charge of £100or 20% of the total estimate price is applicable, whichever is greater.


11. Customer Satisfaction


11.1 Victrade is committed to providing professional, top-quality service to every customer, hence we offer a 6-month guarantee as detailed in section 12 below.

11.2 If you are not satisfied that our service(s) has been provided as per the contract, you must provide us with a written notice within 6months from the work completion date.

11.3 You must allow us, and our insurers, the opportunity to both inspect and carry out remedial work where appropriate.

11.4 If you fail to notify us, as outlined above, then we will not be liable in respect of any defects in the work carried out.

11.5 If the defect had not arisen as a result of a breach of the Contract on the part of Victrade, then Victrade reserves the right to charge the Customer for the duration of the visit at the hourly charge.


12. Guarantee


12.1 For your peace of mind, we provide a 6-month guarantee on labour costs carried out by a Victrade tradesperson, in respect of faulty workmanship only. This is active from the date of completion of the work.

12.2 Work is only guaranteed in respect of work that is directly undertaken by us and for which the full payment has been made.

12.3 We accept no liability or guarantee when materials are supplied by the customer and accept no liability for any consequential damage or fault.

12.4 The guarantee will become null and void in the following circumstances if when the work/appliance:
Was subject to misuse or negligence or was not maintained following the manufacturer’s specifications.
Was repaired, modified or tampered with by anyone other than a Victrade tradesperson.

12.5 The Guarantee excludes the following:
Blockages in waste or drainage systems.
Parts, equipment, materials or supplies, unless it has a warranty provided by the manufacturer or original supplier and the manufacturer/supplier agrees to replace the same.
Any work carried out on instruction from you against the written or verbal advice of a tradesperson.
Any faults arising from circumstances or factors known to the Customer but not notified or disclosed to Victrade before the commencement of the work.
Any faults arising after refusing to carry out work or maintenance tasks which were recommended by a Tradesperson.
Any Work on installations or equipment of inferior quality or when second-hand components or materials are used.


13. Liability


13.1 These terms set out Victrade’s entire liability in respect of the Works and Victrade’s liability under them shall be in lieu and to the exclusion of all other warranties, conditions, terms and liabilities, expressed or implied, in respect of the Works and the quality thereof.

13.2 Victrade’s liability shall be limited to:
The repair or making good of any defect according to its undertaking in Sections 11 and 12 above.
Liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence in the course of carrying out Victrade’s duties.
The reasonable costs of repair or reinstatement of any loss or damage to the Customer’s property if such loss or damage results from Victrade’s negligence or that of its employees, agents or sub-contractors and the Customer incurs such costs.

13.3 Victrade will not be responsible nor liable for damage suffered to a part of the Customer’s property (whether or not Victrade is working on that part) where that damage is in whole or in part a consequence of a defect or weakness in that part of the property.


14. Title to Goods


14.1 On delivery of the goods to the Customer, the customer must make sure that the goods are kept safely, protected against theft and stored following the manufacturer’s specifications.

14.2 Goods supplied and delivered by us to you, or your premises shall remain the property of Victrade until any invoices issued are paid in full.

14.3 Whilst the goods remain our property we have the absolute authority to:
Retake, sell or otherwise deal with or dispose of all or any part of such property.
Enter any premises, at anytime and without notice, in which goods or any part thereof are installed, stored, kept, or reasonably believed to be.
Seek a court injunction to prevent you from selling, transferring or otherwise disposing of such goods.


15. General


15.1 These terms and conditions may not be released, discharged, supplemented, interpreted, varied or modified in any manner except by an instrument in writing signed by an authorized Victrade representative and you. Our terms and conditions prevail over any terms and conditions used by you, contained, set out or referred to in any documentation sent to us by you.

15.2 By entering into a contract with us you agree irrevocably to waive the application of any of these terms and conditions.

15.3 These terms and conditions, and all contracts awarded between us and you, shall be governed, construed, and subject to exclusive jurisdiction under English law.
